Well done to our U14 Div 5 North boys’ side on their win in the grand final over South Barwon. Held at St. Josephs on September 7^th, the game was a relatively low scoring affair, with our boys getting up 4.6.30 to 2.5.17. Harrison Pratt, Boby Rohde, Declan Fitzsimmons, Jed Wilson, Jak Phemister and Hudson Burley were all named in Lara best. Congratulations to all the players, coaches, officials and supporters on the win!

Well done too to our U16 Div 2 boys’ side who were rolled at the last hurdle after going through the season undefeated. As we all know, GFs are set up for upsets and disappointment, and it wasn’t to be for the Lara boys, who led to half-time before going down to Newtown and Chilwell 9.7.61 to 10.9.69. Nonetheless, the side had a great year. Well done!

Lara hosted the Senior Women’s and Junior Girl’s football grand finals at our home grounds on Sunday 31 August. This day was huge for the League and our club in particular. There were big crowds at all games, so it was a wonderful revenue raiser for the club. Thanks to our organisers for setting up the day and to all volunteers (from Football and Netball) who assisted in its running. Thanks also to AFL Barwon for the opportunity to host the day.

Presentation night occurred on 25th September for our senior men’s squad, senior women’s squad and the senior and U19 netball sides. It was a wonderful night of recognition for our various medal and trophy winners, including:
