TEAM CHRISTENSEN

One of the Lara Junior teams has been named in honour of the following- Damien, Marty and Allen

Damien Christensen- Damien played all of his junior football at Lara before he moved to play with the Geelong football Club. Damien played 17 games with the Geeelong between 1983 and 1986 and kicked 8 goals. After his career with Geelong, Damien then returned to Lara where he coached from 1990-1993

Marty Christensen- Marty played as a winger/defender and was recruited from Lara to Geelong. Marty played at Geelong from 1985-1991 where he cahlked up 69 games. he then moved to North Melbourne in 1992

Allen Christensen- Allen was selected to play for the Falcons at TAC level and from there he was drafted to Geelong with pick number 40 in the 2009 draft. Allen debuted with Geelong in 2011 and earned a Rising Star nomination in Rd 18 of that year. Allen played 65 games with Geelong between 2011 and 2014 and became a premiership player in 2011. Allen then moved to the Brisbane Lions in 2015 where he is continuing his AFL career wearing the number 3 guersey
