Jerome's name has been allocated to one of the junior female teams.
Jerome Beekmans began his senior playing career in 1991 and won a Reserves Premiership in that same year. He also played in the 1994 Senior Premiership side and was the leading goal kicker with 75 goals. Jerome also won the goal kicking in 1996, booting 44 goals. Jerome played his last game for the Lara Football Club in 2004- in total, Jerome had played 273 games for Lara.
Since his playing career ended, Jerome has worked tirelessly as a Committee member and with the Senior section of the club. He served on the committee in 2004-05, in 2012-14 where he was Vice President in 2012 and still working with the senior football section and committee now.
Jerome has worked as Senior Assistant Coach(2014-15) Reserves coach and has also been runner for both Seniors and Reserves for a long period of time.
Jerome has also contributed his time to the running of the junior section by fulfilling various roles and being a prominent figure in the social and fundraising events for the Lara Football Club.
Jerome became a life member in 2015 and has been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
