TEAM ORR

Colin Orr commenced playing for the Lara Football Club in the late 1950's before moving into the administration side of the club in 1962, when he was elected President, a position he would hold for 12 years through to 1977.

For the years over that period that he was not in the top job, Colin was always actively involved starting with being the Secretary in 1967 and 68. He stayed on as a committee member in 1973 and assumed the role of Vice President in 1974.

Apart from being a selector in 1970, Colin was the Under 15 coach from 1968 to 1971 and was successful in leading the team to a premiership in 1969 and 1970 with both sides being the underdog in both years.

Colin was awarded life membership in 1968. He was also inducted into our inaugural Hall of Fame in 2014 and made legend status in 2017
