Charlie Francese had a terrific playing career with the Lara Football Club which is why his name has been chosen to represent one of our junior teams.

Charlie had an 148 game career at Lara. He was a 3-time Best & Fairest winner in 1966, 1967 and 1971. Charlie also was Runner Up Best & Fairest in 1965.

As well as being a Best & Fairest winner, Charlie played in the 1965 Premiership side and was a junior coach of the U15 team in 1979 and 1980.
