TEAM KELLY

No one would realise the impact Peter Kelly would have on the Lara Football Club when he arrived in 1976 as a player that went on to play 117 games.

Peter was appointed Reserves coach in 1978 and lead them to the Lara Football Club's first ever Reserves Grade Premiership in 1979.

No one probably realised the impact Peter would have on our club when he was a committee member from 1978 through to 1986. We probably started to see the impact that he did have when he had his first stint as Chariman of the LFC from 1982 until 1984.

Everyone realised Peter's impact on the LFC when he began his second term as Chairman. Peter's vision and determiniation towards making us a successful club started to come to fruition. Peter saw the club being overrun in the 1987 Grand Final, even thouigh we were red hot favourites to then going through the 1988 season as undefeated Premiers and Champions.

Peter also oversaw Lara ecretarytball Club's transition int the Geelong Football League in 1989 where we played off in their first Grand Final just four years later in 1992.

Peter Kelly has been given Life Membership to the Lara Sporting Club, Geelong Football League andhas been inducted into the Lara FC Hall of Fame
