TEAM WILSON

Geoff Wilson has had a strong involvement with the Lara Football Club which is why his name was chosen to represent one of our junior teams.

Geoff enjoyed a 254 game career at Lara. He was a five time Best & Fairest winner- 1956, 1959, 1960, 1961 and 1962. This winning form also saw Geoff win the League Best & Fairest in the GDFL Evelyn Hurst Division in 1960.

As well as being a Best & Fairest winner, Geoff was a Premiership player, coach, a valued committee member and team manager. Geoff was also heavily involved with the juniors, taking on the role of coach over a 30 year period
