Season 2025 is already done for a number of Lara’s sides, including our women, U18 boys and many junior teams. However, we still have sides playing over the next couple of weeks, including in grand finals, and hope our membership and supporter base will come out in force to cheer them on.
The senior men’s squad wrap things up this weekend with what has become a grand final in all but name for them. Lara’s reserves side is already on the winner’s list for this year, but the senior are yet to register a win and our game way to North Shore this weekend offers our chance to finish strongly. No doubt North Shore will want to win to maintain their record against us this year, and we will need to be on our game. Let’s see as many supporters as possible get over to Windsor Park on Saturday to help both Lara’s teams prevail. Good luck to each of them.
We had four sides make finals across U18 boys and juniors. All played last week, with our U16 Div 2 and U14 Div 5 boys sides’ both prevailing. This meant each progresses to their respective GFs on the weekend of the 6th August (check the fixture for dates, times and locations). Let’s all get along to support them.
Our U18 boys and U14 Div 2 sides weren’t as fortunate, both losing Elimination Finals to bow out of the race. Nonetheless, we are very proud of their efforts this year – as we are of every side – and look forward to further progress next year.
This weekend sees Lara host the Senior Women’s and Junior Girl’s football grand finals at our home grounds on Sunday 31 August. This day will be huge for the League and our club and we’d like to see as many supporters as possible come along for a look. Also, we will rely heavily on volunteers to run this day and thank those who have already registered to help. If you’d like to help, please check our social pages for links to the registration page.
We are about to enter vote count and presentation night season for Football. Keep an eye on our social pages to see when each will be held. More info on that – and who won what – to come.
Until next time, go Cats!
