Last week the Thursday night gang put on another wonderful meal for about 50 members in the club house. Apart from a great night, Mark, the Balnarring Bendigo Community Bank branch manager announced that we had received a grant of $25,000 towards what some people call “Balka Accessible Bathroom”. Others more crudely describe it as a contribution to the Dunny Fund. Alongside our Community Bank's very generous contribution (which follows their support for the lift, the new shed and the rib), the dinner raised $1,000 from Thursday crowd towards the building project. With pledges from across the membership we are well on the way to raising the funds need, but we will need substantially more before work begins so dig deep if you can.
Special thanks to Jo-Anne, Sue Rutley, Julie Mills for last week's meals. Fran Wierzbowski, Linda Morgan, Carla Jeffrey, Lindsay Wall, Jenny Hubbard for the salads. Committee members, Fran and Sharon for the washing up. And Storm for manning the bar. Apologies for any we have missed.
