Social

Welcome to the Hurricanes Softball Club social teams. These teams say they have the most fun on the diamond!

Softball ACT Social V-Ball

V-Ball is a new social softball competition run by Softball ACT. It will replace the usual Slow Pitch Social Bash during Term 4 2026. V-Ball is relaxed, friendly and easy to join. Gather your friends, family, workmates or club mates and enter a team.

V-Ball is a modified version of softball. Teams are smaller, so every player gets more turns to bat and field. It suits experienced players and people who are brand new to the sport.

• Start date: Wednesday 14 October 2026
• Length: 8 weeks, plus 1 week of finals
• Finals: Wednesday 9 December 2026
• Venue: Hawker International Softball Centre
• Team size: 6 players on the diamond
• Player fee: Approximately $50 per player
• Age eligibility: 10 years and over*
• Team rule: At least 3 females on the diamond at all times
• Spaces: Limited to 8 teams

* Players must be 10 or older. Players aged 10 to 12 must wear a helmet when batting and running the bases. They can only field in the outfield.

Why V-Ball is worth a go

• Fun, social atmosphere
