Team officials

Volunteers get us onto the diamond, across every junior and senior team.

Hurricanes appoint the following officials to each team:

• Coach: plans training and leads the team on game day.
• Assistant coach: supports the coach and helps run training drills.
• Team manager: organises the team off the field, like communication and roster reminders.
• Scorer:keeps track of the game, recording runs, outs as play happens.

All families are expected to help with canteen duty during the season. You can also help by setting up or packing down the diamond before and after games.

Working with vulnerable people

All team officials over the age of 16 must hold a valid Working with Vulnerable People WWVP card

Protecting our junior players and community members is one of our top priorities. In line with the ACT's Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011, we register and verify every volunteer and official who works closely with children or vulnerable people.
