Umpires are essential to ensuring Hurricanes Softball Club games are played safely, fairly and in line with competition rules.
Our Umpiring Policy outlines how we support both Club and accredited SUAACT umpires across junior and senior competitions. The Club takes a shared-responsibility approach to duty allocations and offers training, mentoring, and financial incentives to encourage umpire development - particularly among junior members.
We also work closely with the Softball Umpires Association ACT (SUAACT) to provide access to accredited officials and development pathways, including the Green Shirt Programme for trainees.
