The Start Sailing 1 and 2 course uses our RS Quest dinghies, offering a comprehensive introduction to sailing fundamentals, including boat handling, safety, theory, weather, and safety regulations.
Each day runs from 8 am – 4 pm with a break for lunch.
Successful participants will gain the Australian Sailing Start Sailing 1 and 2 completion certificate.
Kids don’t need to have any sailing experience or club membership to participate. All equipment, including the boats and life jackets, are provided.
The course is run by our Australian Sailing qualified Club Coach and Assistant Instructors

8am to 4pm (Can drop off from 7.30am, collect as late as 4.30pm)

Who should do this course?
This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a dinghy. All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.
Course Outcome
You will gain your Start Sailing 1 And Start Sailing 2 completion certificate.
We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
