Aoraki Dragons is the Regional Sports Organisation that provides equipment and resources for Dragon Boat training, events and race regatta in the South Island of New Zealand. Primarily based in Christchurch it includes operations in Marlborough (Blenheim) and Otago (Dunedin, Cromwell). Aoraki is affiliated to the New Zealand Dragon Boat Association (NZDBA), which is affiliated to the Oceania Dragon Boat Federation and the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF).
Season Fee invoices have been sent out, and Late Penalty fees will not be charged. Training season starts early, after Daylight Saving. A Dragon Boat Erg available at Owles Terrace, and a Paddling Training Pool is coming soon

Water quality at training venues
After heavy rainfall, most waterways will have some 'pollution' from runoff. Lake Rua is the latest, after our sudden deluge. 48 hours is usually enough to clear out contaminants.
