Aoraki Dragons is the driving force behind dragon boating across New Zealand's South Island. As the Regional Sports Organisation, we're passionate about growing the sport, supporting clubs, and creating unforgettable experiences on and off the water.

From first-time paddlers to elite athletes, we provide the boats, equipment, expertise, and opportunities that help our dragon boating community thrive. Whether it's high-energy training sessions, action-packed regattas, or community events that bring people together.

With our home base in Christchurch and strong dragon boating communities in Marlborough and Otago , Aoraki Dragons connects paddlers from across the South Island. Together, we're building a welcoming, inclusive community where friendships are forged, confidence grows, and every race is an adventure.

As a proud affiliate of the New Zealand Dragon Boat Association (NZDBA), and through our connection to the Oceania Dragon Boat Federation (ODBF) and the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF), we provide pathways for paddlers to compete and succeed on the regional, national, and international stage.
