Hi All!
I am excited to organise a trip on Diver 1 for this Sunday, the 17th of May, to our local coral reef gem, sitting just north of Moreton Island - Flinders Reef.
Next Sunday, the 17th of May, is a New Moon, which means big tides, lots of current and hopefully a lot of fishy actions.
Tide times - Comboyuro Point.
High Tide: 08:30 AM 2.0M
Low Tide: 02:44 PM 0.3M
The plan is to make it a big day, with 2 dives per person and some snorkelling action as well, so that we can cross the Venus Banks and Freeman Channel within an hour of low tide.
Flinders Reef hosts nice schools of moon wrasses, bonnito, fusiliers, damselfish, corals, reef sharks, sweetlips, snappers, mantis shrimps, turtles, whales, eagle rays, cowtail rays, and squids.
Costs are divided amongst the participants,
- Fuel costs (Diver 1 fuel)
- Dive Tickets (You can pre-purchase 4 for $100, or buy individual tickets for $30 on the day)
