Grant Clean Up Weekend

To all concerned divers,
We are organising another grant clean up weekend on Stradbroke Island
We are looking at doing clean ups around the Amity Point Area and if the weather allows we can cross the bar and head towards other points of interest which include, Shag Rock, Flat Rock and Manta Bommie.
The current plan is to go over to Stradbroke Island on the evening ferry and dive the Friday morning , Saturday morning and maybe Sunday. The high tides are starting around 10:00am for the Friday.
We will be staying at Ken’s who has offered us the front house for the weekend and he will also join us to assist with tank fills, as he has a compressor within the house complex.
The accommodation consist of 2 double rooms and single beds up stairs (8 persons) . 1 double room has been claimed for myself and Marja. If 2 people are happy to camp on stretchers we can do up to 14
I will still recommend that people bring their own tanks and weights or hire them from the club.
I will tow the club trailer and we will need someone to tow the boat. I would like to see club boat drivers, who have done the bar crossing course put their hands up.
The grant is going to cover the accommodation and ferry but you will require to bring your own food and drink.
We usually have a bbq at Ken’s , where each person brings something to share like a salad or dessert and you supply your own meat. This can be discussed in more detail closer to the date.
There is also an option to have a meal at the local hotel/pub?
I will get the committee to decide what the fees will be for this trip, as I am away for the next meeting.
