Our Uniform
At Hurricanes our uniforms showcase our club culture and team spirit. Whether you’re a player, supporter and/or official, wearing our uniform creates sense of community and inclusion.
Our primary colours are black and orange, with white accents.
Our logo incorporates a capital H for Hurricanes, inside wings. The wings represent the 3 leagues Hurricanes participates in – junior, senior and social and reflects the aircraft theme in our team names.
Players participating in more than one competition only need one playing shirt.
The below items make up our Hurricanes uniform
Hurricanes branded items
Playing ShirtsAll players must wear a Hurricanes playing shirt. Our playing shirts are the same across all competitions. This means if you play in more than one Hurricanes team, you only need one shirt. Shirts can be purchased from the Hurricanes uniform shop on the Athlead website, and a small number are available for loan from the club. |

Officials shirtsOur officials shirts ensure our officials are easily identifiable when out on the diamond. They are for Coaches, Managers, Scorers or a club member that has been appointed to a club official role. |

Hats and visorsWe have the following hats available for purchase from the Hurricanes uniform shop on the Athlead website: Players who do not wish to purchase a Hurricanes hat or visor may wear a plain black alternative, including bucket hats or a legionnaires cap. |

HoodiesCanberra weather can be unpredictable. To cater for those chilly mornings and evenings, we have club hoodies available for purchase from the Hurricanes uniform shop on the Athlead website. |

Supporter/Training t-shirtsShow your support for your favourite Hurricanes player! Custom t-shirts are available for players and supporters to purchase from the Hurricanes uniform shop on the Athlead website. |

Playing pants/bottomsThe following plain black bottoms are acceptable: Players wearing knickerbocker style pants, shorts or skorts should wear knee high black socks. |

SocksSocks should be plain black. Players wearing knickerbocker style pants, shorts or skorts should wear knee length black socks. |

HelmetsWhere possible helmets should be solid black. Safety of our players is the number one priority. If you don’t have a black helmet, other colours are acceptable. |

UndershirtsUndershirts or sleeves worn with the Hurricanes uniform should be black or white. |

Purchasing Hurricanes uniform items
There are two ways to purchase Hurricanes branded uniform items.
1. Directly from our uniform shop
Our preference is for you to purchase directly from the Hurricanes uniform shop on the Athlead website.
Please note: not all items are readily available. Please allow 5 weeks for delivery of some items.
Items that can be purchased from Athlead include:
• Caps, visors and wide brim hats
• Playing shirts
• Supporter/training t-shirts
• Hoodies
• Officials shirts.
2. From the Club
We have limited stock on hand that you can order from us, with payment via our Square account. To find out what is in stock, email us at hurricanessoftball@outlook.com.
Loan Uniform Shirts
We have limited number of playing shirts available for loan during the season. Loan shirts cost $10 per season and are to be returned clean and in good condition at the end of the season.
