Kembla Klassic

Held annually on the last weekend in November, the Kembla Klassic is the premier dinghy/catamaran sailing regatta of the Illawarra region. It attracts entries from far and wide, as well as class associations for their State championship or travellers trophy, to sail on our beautiful lake and explore the surroundings of the Illawarra.

We offer exciting sailing courses catering for off-the-beach catamaran and dinghy sailors of all abilities and ages. Our club is little more than a one-hour drive from the centre of Sydney and far away from its traffic.

Port Kembla Sailing Club offers a welcoming environment with ample grassy foreshore rigging areas and legendary sea breezes. Along with our modern clubhouse facilities, camping on the clubhouse foreshore is available all weekend. The whole weekend is fully catered by the canteen, with breakfasts, coffee, the famous hamburgers and a BBQ dinner on Saturday. We also have a licenced bar. There are prizes for each division too.
