Latrobe City to Host Rising Badminton Stars in Upcoming 2024 AIA U/15 & U/19 Junior State Circuit

Latrobe City, Victoria – Calling all badminton enthusiasts! The future of the sport is coming to Latrobe City on June 1-2, 2024, as Badminton Victoria (BV) hosts the exciting 2024 AIA U/15 and U/19 Junior State Circuit. 

This two-day tournament is more than just a competition; it's a platform for Victoria's most promising young badminton players (under 15 and under 19) to showcase their talent and dedication. Spectators can expect a thrilling display of athleticism, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Players can expect a well-organized tournament experience with a fair and competitive environment. Matches will be officiated using the esteemed Badminton Australia National Ranking system, ensuring a high standard of competition. 

Beyond just winning, the event provides a valuable opportunity for athletes to hone their skills, teamwork, and agility, fostering their passion for the sport within the supportive badminton community. 

This tournament marks the second year of a three-year partnership between Latrobe City Council and Badminton Victoria. "This collaboration allows us to actively support badminton's growth in the region," stated the Mayor, Darren Howe. 

"We're proud to host these rising stars in Latrobe City," the Mayor continued. "This event not only benefits aspiring players but also attracts visitors and strengthens the region's reputation for fostering a welcoming and inclusive sporting environment, thanks in part to the tireless efforts of the Latrobe Valley Badminton Association."
