How do I join a social hockey team in Albury?
  • Wombats Hockey Club runs mixed social hockey teams for adults and children of all experience levels. Further information will be released through our social media and website as applicable.

Does Wombats Hockey Club have senior men’s and women’s teams?
  • Yes, we field senior men’s, women’s across all divisions in the Albury/Wodonga competition.

Is there a social hockey or masters competition for older players?
  • Yes, there is a masters hockey program (currently only a womens competition) which runs on a Monday night during the regular season. Social hockey is played over the summer off-season and is a great way for members who are new to hockey to gain confidence in a fun supportive environment.

Can beginners join senior teams, or do I need prior experience?
  • Beginners are always welcome — we’ll place you in a team suited to your skill level.

Do you run mixed senior competitions?
  • Yes, HockeyAW runs a mixed social hockey program run during the off-season. It is perfect for those wanting a relaxed, fun way to play, or for those new to hockey to gain some confidence.
