Don’t forget the canteen is open every Saturday from early to late. They have a great range of hot food and cold food available ranging from potato cakes and chips to salad rolls and fruit salad.

Syndal (5) VS Eastern Raiders (25)
To kick off the match, Iyla made a good first hit scoring Eve to the home plate. In the second inning, Emily hit a double, making Christopher to score. Elin faced a challenging line drive to third base, there were also numerous plays for Jason at shortstop. The game held its breath as Thomas nearly made a spectacular catch for his birthday.

Week 3 - 28th October
Syndal (3) VS Pands (0)
A reasonably warm but very windy afternoon saw another win for Syndal Open 1. It was perhaps not the score we would have hoped with five runners left in scoring positions across the game.
In the first inning, Pandas hit a double to centre but didn't manage to bring the runner home. Syndal then came up to bat and it didn't start well with two swinging strikeouts. Then came Sarah B with a double to centre, followed by Cate with a huge triple to right field to bring Jodi home (Sarah's temporary runner).
The second innings saw Pandas get a runner to a scoring position, but they failed to capitalise again. For Syndal, the pitcher took a hard line drive from Sarah W to stop her reaching first and then up came Steph who hit a single to right to reach first base, but we couldn't move her on from there.
The third inning was a 'three batters, three strikeouts' innings for Pandas. Syndal started back at the top of the line-up for the third innings and Jodi reached first safely with a walk. Kate moved her round with a Sac bunt before Sarah B came up and hit a triple down the right field line, scoring Jodi for her second run. This time Cate didn't hit a triple, but Jess did and scored Cate who had become Sarah's temporary runner.
Again a scoreless fourth inning for Pandas, and again with a runner in scoring position having moved to third after two Sac bunts, both skilfully taken by Jodi to Kate.
Syndal's fourth inning had Sarah W at third base after her walk, a Sac bunt from Steph and a hit just behind shortstop from Audrey. But a double play had Syndal sit down again without scoring.
The fifth inning was over in three batters for Pandas with two strikeouts and then Syndal almost repeated the same, albeit for another triple to right from Cate but with the fourth batter grounding out, Cate was left on base again.
Pandas added four batters to the plate in the sixth, but didn't get any home. Syndal also had four to the plate, but Steph did reach second and a scoring position from a walk and then a diving steal.
Pandas came up for their seventh inning needing to score at least three runs to bring Syndal back to bat. They started well with a single to centre, but two flies and a strikeout saw them sit back down and Syndal win the game.
Sarah W was again the winner of the strikeouts with 8-5 and the team hit seven hits (4 triples, 1 double and 2 singles) compared to three (2 doubles and 2 singles) from Pandas.
