Funding & Grants

La Trobe University Sports clubs are able to apply for a range of grants over the course of the year. These grants have a limited application period, and are subject to an application approval. Please view the grants available below, and click on each for more information and how to apply:

Student Recruitment Grant

  • Purpose: To provide clubs the opportunity to fund a student recruitment event or program. The grant is to be used only for activities involving non-club members, with the aim of promoting your club to new students. 
  • Available: Up to $500 per club
  • Application Periods:21 January - 16 March, 15 June - 27 July

Student Activity Grant

  • Purpose: To provide clubs with the opportunity to fund student activities throughout the year and promote student retention in clubs. Activities may be existing, or new. 
  • Available: Up to $750 per club
  • Application Periods:27 January - 13 April, 15 June - 7 September

Student Inclusion & Diversity Grant

  • Purpose: To provide clubs with the opportunity to host a student inclusion program, including hosting themed sporting rounds. The program must be targeted to a vulnerable group of students at La Trobe University.
  • Available: Up to $1000 per club
  • Application Periods:27 January - 13 April, 15 June - 7 September

Club Equipment Grant

  • Purpose:To provide clubs with the opportunity to to receive funding for equipment that may be used for the betterment of student experience. 
  • Available: Up to $500 per club
  • Application Periods: 27 January - 13 April, 15 June - 7 September

Club House Event Grant

  • Purpose:To provide clubs with the opportunity to either host a student recruitment event in the Club House, or an event which engages its current student cohort.
  • Available: Up to $250 per club
  • Application Periods: 27 January - 13 April, 15 June - 7 September
