Interested in Umpiring?

NSDSA “INVITATION for NEW SOFTBALL UMPIRES”

  • Have you previously umpired, given up, and now want to return?
  • Are you a player who would like to develop a different aspect of your game?
  • Are you an interested junior player who would like to give umpiring a go ?
  • Are you an “SES” (Saturday Expert Spectator) who sits on the side lines and thinks you can, and would like to do that - ie Umpire?
  • Feel the wonderful urge to give back to the (softball) community?
  • Are you a parent or partner who would like to share in the sport that your child or partner plays?

Interested ?

If you are any of the above and would like to umpire for North Shore this year, let us know.

  • Experience necessary? – Not much. It would be helpful if you understand the basics of Softball (or Baseball).
  • Knowledge of the rules? – as above. You will learn the rules as you develop.
  • Fitness? – You will be moving a bit around the diamond so a medium level of fitness is appropriate. (If you have any pre-existing medical conditions please check with your doctor first).
  • Gear and Clothing? - Fairly simple to start – we will let you know.
