Our Winter Softball Competition

North Shore District Softball Association (NSDSA) runs Sydney's biggest winter competition, welcoming all softball players aged 4 to 60+. Our season runs from April to September with juniors (girls and boys) playing in the morning (8:30am to 12pm) and our seniors in the afternoon from 12pm to 5pm. All games are played at the one venue at William Cowan Oval/St Ives Village Green on the North Shore. Through our winter competition, there are also great opportunities for softball officials to learn the ropes with our thriving umpiring program and opportunities to develop as a coach or scorer. 

Our 2025 Winter season will run from 3 May through to 23 August, followed by finals weeks. The season culminates with the Grand Finals on 13 September. Our Junior Softball Competition

You can start playing in our junior competition from the age of 4 through to 18. The Junior competition is played in the morning at St. Ives and all are welcome to come and give it a try. We supplement our winter season with come n try sessions before the season starts and some great skills development programs throughout the season so you can grow your softball skills and game play. Keep an eye out on our events page or socials to find out more about these events. 

The Junior competition is open to girls and boys and consists of the following grades:

• Tee ball
• Division 4
• Division 3 
• Division 2
• Division 1

Our Senior Softball Competition

Our senior softball competition has grades for all levels whether you want to play competitively or just for fun. The comp is in the afternoon with 3 time slots from 12pm, 1:45pm and 3:30pm.  The senior grades are as follows:

• A Grade
• A1 Grade
• B1 - B3 Grades
• C Grade
