It’s time to renew your RNSW membership if you intend to race this season. Go to RNSW and follow the links to either renew or register for membership. The membership categories are as follows:
The J B Sharp regattas will be held this year, with the opening regatta at GRC in Blackwattle Bay on Sunday 26 July.Â
Brad will be in touch with requests for assistance with set up and running the regatta over the next few weeks. Please keep the date free to assist and/or compete!
If you are recently back on the water (or planning to), you need to keep up-to-date with safety steps and helpful info on getting back on the water.Â
For info on the following, check the webinar recoding here:Â https://vimeo.com/438799046
From 1 July there are some further lifting of restrictions permitting usage of crew boats and gym equipment. Â Obviously this comes with a few "rules" to keep everyone safe:
We have now rolled over the season in the GRC membership system.Â
Please renew your membership and pay your 2021 membership fees as soon as possible. The membership year starts on 1 July.
Please put Sunday 16 August at 10am in your diaries for this year's Club Annual General Meeting. Details about how the AGM will be run will be circulated closer to time and will be in accordance with the then-current COVID-19 restrictions. If the restrictions at the time require us to further delay the AGM, we will let you know as soon as possible.
Further to last week's update on membership fees for 2020/21, we will be rolling over to the new membership year in the membership system in the next few days. This means you will not be able to log in to the system until you have renewed your membership.
Even though the Club is closed to members it's not quiet - several members have taken the initiative to use the lack of foot traffic to upgrade some of the facilities.
In response to the most recent announcements by state and federal governments the Committee has decided to close the club from 8pm today (Monday 23 March).Â
This decision was not made lightly, and we realise the impact of this on members, but feel it is the only responsible decision we can make in the current situation.
We have updated the club’s precautionary measures in response to the COVID-19 community health threat.
You may have seen the direction from Rowing NSW to registered rowers (provided below).
In line with their recommendations, and considering our circumstances, we request all members to take the following precautions until further notice.
While we don’t wish to be alarmist about the coronavirus, and we are not proposing to close the Club at this stage, you need to know that the Club equipment (including gym equipment, change rooms, oars and boats) is used by many members and we can't guarantee in any way that our members have not had contact with, or don’t have, COVID-19.
