Information on the 4k River Run Kaiapoi Compound. Sunday 15 March 2026
We’re looking forward to a fun afternoon on the water with our 4 km river run from the Kaiapoi compound.
1:30 PM – Meet at the compound for the race briefing.
We’ll go over the course, safety, and race order so please try to arrive on time.
Sweeps – Course Familiarisation
For any sweeps who would like to look at the course beforehand, the chase boats will scout the river at 1:30 PM.
This is especially useful if you haven’t swept on the Kaiapoi River before, and you’re welcome to jump in a chase boat to check out the route.
After Your Race
Once you’ve finished racing, we’ll meet at The Platform for prize giving and to watch the other teams come through if you’d like to stay and support.
Drone Footage
Jimmy will be there with the drone, so there will be some great footage of the racing. Pub watchers will be able to catch some of the action, and we’ll be able to watch it again later too.
Remember:
This is all just a bit of fun. Feel free to join teams, waka jump, or help fill seats so everyone gets a paddle.
