Hi Club Members & Guests,

Before our Club meeting, we’re holding a SCUBA theory session at 6:30 PM, which will also be available on Zoom. 

The scuba theory workshop will be led by Sandrine who will cover barotrauma and ear & teeth maintenance.  

 

At 8pm sharp, our March Club night guest speaker promises to be fascinating!

Introducing, Richard Pensak who holds a BS in Molecular biology and is pursuing his honours in comparison of surveillance techniques of benthic pest species. Richard coordinates the marine conservation program for Earthcare St Kilda, where he pulls together citizen scientists, scuba divers, snorkelers and students to act on the removal of invasive species to safeguard the biodiversity within Port Phillip Bay.  

Post-Presentation Agenda:

Following Richards presentation, we will move into the Photo Competition segment, followed by discussions on safety items, upcoming events, travel updates, and the Photo Competition.

Photo Competition Rules:

  • You may submit up to two photos.
  • Photos must have been taken in the prior 4-6 weeks.
  • Photos must be your own work.
  • Images should have some connection to diving (a photo with water typically suffices).

How to Enter:

  • Ensure your photo is high resolution and in JPG format (bonus points for files under 5MB).
  • Name the file using the following format: name_title_location_month.jpg (e.g., JaneDoe_Seahorse_GreatBarrierReef_February.jpg).
