Singles Skating

Whether your dream is to master your first spin, land an Axel, or simply enjoy the freedom of gliding across the ice, singles skating offers something for everyone.

Singles skating is the most popular discipline of figure skating and welcomes skaters of all ages and abilities. From young children taking their first lessons to teenagers and adults returning to the ice, every skater progresses at their own pace while developing confidence, fitness and lifelong friendships.

As your skills develop, you'll learn edge work, turns, jumps and spins before bringing everything together in programs performed to music. Many skaters enjoy performing in exhibitions or entering competitions, while others simply skate for the enjoyment and personal achievement that comes with learning new skills.

At Sydney Figure Skating Club, we encourage every skater to reach their own goals—whether that's passing skating tests, competing at club, state or national level, or simply enjoying time on the ice.
