21 Proud Years of Passion and Community

Surf Coast Calisthenics was founded in 2005 by Belinda Matthews, who began the club with a small Tinies class at the Bellbrae Hall. As membership grew, Belinda expanded the club to include additional age sections, steadily shaping Surf Coast Calisthenics into the vibrant, successful club it is today. From the outset, she created a warm and inclusive environment built on strong community values—values that continue to guide and define the club to this day.

Each year, Surf Coast Calisthenics proudly presents the Belinda Matthews Best Club Person Award in recognition of Belinda’s enduring influence and the community she created.
