Photographs and Videos

At Karilee we are aware of the concerns in our community about the use of photos and videos of children, especially for girls. We want to make sure that you are comfortable with the way we use photos or videos of our members.

Photos and videos are often taken at training, Karilee events and at the theatre. Only authorised photographers are allowed to take photos during competition performances, however anyone in the audience can take photos of the presentations.

Recordings of performances are a usual part of Calisthenics to allow for video review of competition performances if required by the adjudicator. Competition and training videos are often used by coaches and their teams to review and improve performances. Copies of these videos are usually provided to individuals or team members.

In general, we use photos to highlight the achievement of our members and to promote our dance sport to prospective members. We place photos on our website and other Social Media platforms. Photos are also used in our newsletters and marketing publications.

Calisthenics ACT (Cali-ACT), and on very rare occasions, the Australian Calisthenic Federation (ACF), may wish to use photos of Karilee teams or individuals for marketing, usually without naming the performers.

Personal Information

We are careful with all your personal information that we collect, such as name, date of birth (DOB), residential and postal addresses, email addresses, etc. This information is only collected for the purposes of administrating our sport by Karilee.

We provide data to Cali-ACT and the ACF to register participants, coaching teams, and committee members and to enter competitions and events. Names are used by Cali-ACT to check registration status and to publish competition programs and results.

Your email contacts are used for club administration and to keep you up to date with what's happening at Karilee, Calisthenics ACT and nationally.

Release

We ask that you consent to photos, videos and information being used by Karilee, Calisthenics ACT and the Australian Calisthenic Federation as described above.

If you have any concerns about the use of your data, photos or videos or have specific requirements for the release of such material please indicate your concerns when you register or renew your membership on the Karilee revolutioniseSport Record Management System (revSport RMS).
