How to Register with Swim Central
WHO CAN JOIN?
HASC welcome all swimmers providing they are;
- A minimum of 7 years old.
- As a guide have completed Stage 7 in the Learn to Swim Program or The Department of Education Swim
Please note:
We are not a swim school and will refer swimmers who are not yet competent to the Port Hedland Leisure Swim School.
Hedland Amateur Swimming Club is an affiliate of Swimming WA and has members who compete in Regional State and National competitions. Members with Hedland Amateur Swimming Club are required to register with Swimming WA, which provides benefits such as exclusive member discounts, comprehensive insurance cover, access to scholarships and grants, and eligibility to compete in a variety of swimming events. The Swimming WA fee is due 1 October each year.
HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?

We will organise a swimming assessment for your child, usually by one of our coaches. This assists us to place the swimmer in the squad most suitable to their swimming ability and fitness level. Once the assessment has been made, you will be invited to register with the club and advised of your child's swimming days and times.
