After such a successful day at last year’s event all Flinders Athletics Club athletes are encouraged to participate in the ASA State Relay Championships to be held on Saturday 20th December 2025.
As a club we are looking to nominate as many teams as possible.

4x200m
4x400m
4x800m
Swedish Medley Relay (100, 300, 200, 400)
Note: There have re-instated the O50 age group championships this year.
In addition to the track events on offer there is also the FIELD RELAYS which have been changed to 4 events out of the six events (jumps/throws) and can be between 2-4 athletes. No separate Throws and Jumps.
We would like all athletes to consider running multiple events where possible. Every athlete who wants to compete will be allocated a team.
For those who are currently non-financial members, or whom have friends or family that they think would be interested in competing (a great opportunity on such a fun day as this to expose new people to the sport) recreational memberships can be purchased for minimal cost enabling you/them to compete.
A few guiding principles that we try to work on when allocating teams will include.
• Every club member available will be nominated in at least one event.
• A maximum of three events per athlete.
• Keep athletes in their own age-group as much as possible.
• We want to have at least one team in every category for every age-group & gender.
• Athletes were allocated to events based on events athletes compete in and Ranking Lists.
• Final teams will be confirmed prior to race day after consultation with coaches and athletes.
This is one of the best days on the calendar. Further correspondence will come out once teams start to get drafted.
Obviously, the teams and who runs what will change as availability is confirmed. We will always find a team for ANYONE who wants to compete. We will try and meet your preferences.
