Awards
The following awards and trophies are presented at our end of season presentation.
Age Champions Trophy (6’s – 16’s)
A 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place trophy will be awarded to the children in each age group (Boys and Girls). These trophies are awarded to the athletes with the highest accumulated score from each weekly round (non-scoring rounds are not included). Points are awarded based on event placing with points also awarded if an athlete records a personal best or sets a club record. To be eligible for this award, athletes must participate in at least 60% of ALL events.
Athletes who miss club competition because they are representing DAC at LANSW or ANSW events can have competition points credited to them by applying in writing to dacevents74@gmail.com a week prior to the event/carnival.
Age Manager’s Medal (6’s – 16’s)
Points are awarded by the Age Leader/Age Coach each week to children in each age group on a 3-2-1 system. Points can be awarded for displays of sportsmanship, cheering on others or overall effort.
Tiny Tots Medal
Awarded to each child that participates in the Tiny Tots program.
Sportsmanship Award
A club member who has shown an act of kindness either at club night or whilst representing the club. Someone who doesn’t give up and gives their all while competing even when things haven’t gone their way. A person who respects their competitors and has gracious behaviour in winning or losing.
Club Person/s
This award is open to any member who has contributed to the successful operation of the Club in a season. Nominations can be made by any voting member (parents of athletes under 18, athletes over 18 and committee members) of DAC. The winner of this award will be determined by a vote of the committee.
10 Years of Service Trophy (Cameron Porteous Award)
Presented at the completion of 10 years of volunteering (e.g. age leaders) or committee service to the club.
