Junior Learn To Sail Program

Beaumaris Yacht Club offers a 2 stage program for kids wanting to get into sailing.

Junior: This is our introductory program for children from the age of 9+ with little or no prior sailing experience. It is a fun, games-based sailing program and all the equipment, including the boats, is provided. The program is delivered in small groups by an Australian Sailing qualified Instructor. 
The boats used in the program are small and easy to handle and designed to be sailed by children.

Junior Squad: Once kids have demonstrated sufficient skills to be able to sail confidently and independently they are able to advance to our Junior Squad program. This program focuses on skill development and is a gateway to racing.
