Cadet Kyorugi Referee Course (NEW)

• Age Requirement: 12-15yrs
• Overview: The Cadet Referee Program has been introduced to give 12-15yr olds a jump start to their officiating journey. For the first time, young athletes can step into an officating role, allowing them to develop vital leadership skills, gain a deeper understanding of tournament dynamics, and view the sport of Taekwondo from an entirely new perspective. 

Foundation Referee Course 

• Age Requirement: 16yrs+
• Overview: The Kyorugi Foundation Referee Course is suitable for individuals starting their officiating journey. Current Foundation Referees may attend this course to refresh their knowledge under the June 2026 WT Competition Rules. 

Cost

• FREE

• The course fee is subsidised through the ABIF Grant. As part of this subsidised opportunity, participants who successfully gain referee accreditation are expected to officiate at both the ATQ State Open and ATQ State Selections.

Registration Requirements

• All participants must hold a current membership with Australian Taekwondo prior to registering.
  • Basic Membership acquired through your club or Officials Membership acquired through Australian Taekwondo
• You must register for the course that corresponds with your age bracket
• There are no belt level requirements
• Spots are limit to ensure quality course delivery, please register early
  
  

Prerequisite Online Learning

All online learning is required to be completed prior to attending the course. Prerequisite Online Learning course links will be emailed to all participants in the registration confirmation email.

What to Bring

• Wear active wear (e.g. tracksuit)
• Bring notebook and pen, water and lunch
