Parents & Guardians

Parents and guardians play a vital role in creating a positive environment for all athletes.

As a WTC parent or guardian, you are expected to:

  • Recognise that your child is a valued member of WTC and that the interests of the club come before those of any individual.

  • Support coaches by allowing them to coach without negative interference.

  • Treat all athletes, parents, coaches, officials, volunteers, and committee members with courtesy and respect.

  • Show respect to officials and the staff and volunteers of Athletics West (AW) and Athletics Australia (AA) at all times.

  • Accept selection decisions, including relay team selections, with respect and understanding. These decisions are made in the best interests of the club and the athletes involved.

  • Help foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for everyone involved in WTC.
