Skippers and Volunteers registration as hosts for She-Sails, Sail Our Way A Discover Sailing Day for women on Sunday the 26^th April

On Sunday 26 April, WMSC will host a SheSails Discover Sailing Day, welcoming women from the wider community to experience the inclusive and vibrant spirit of our club.

We invite men and women members to get involved, whether on the water, on shore, or simply sharing your story. Help showcase the many sailing, social and volunteering opportunities available at WMSC and across the WMYC precinct. If you would like to volunteer you boat to skipper and host potential sailors of the future, we would love to hear from you.

The event runs 10:00am–3:00pm, with flexible volunteering times and a complimentary lunch provided.

Important Details

• Men and women members are invited to assist with volunteering on the day
• There will be no SAGS event on that Sunday
• All visitors will be provided with an Australian Sailing SailPass for the day
• For visitors who wish to experience an on water activity we have scheduled a two hour window between 11am and 1pm
• All participants for on water activity will have a mandatory safety briefing

Skippers are expected to use their judgement about the experience they provide. A pleasant day may allow a sail around Green Island. An hour inside Waterloo Bay may be suit the weather and the total number of POB.

Further information about the program is available here. The day will run from 10:00am to 3:00pm, however members are most welcome to attend for part of the day if that better suits your availability. A complimentary lunch will be provided for both volunteers and participants.
