Our Culture

At the West Coburg Redbacks we value an inclusive and supportive community above anything else.  We believe if we get the environment right then success of all forms will follow.

Who Can Play?

Our club and competition provides opportunities for anyone from four years old and upwards of any skill level to play Softball.  We run modified games for our younger members (T-Ball, Coach Pitch).

When We Play?

Our main season runs from the first Saturday in October until the last Saturday in March.

We start our season with an Open Day on the first Saturday in September where both new and old members are welcome to try some Softball activities and meet new team mates and coaches.

During the season there are also opportunities to represent our club in Junior Carnivals, State Championships and National Championships.

There are other opportunities to play outside of the summer season including:

  • Term 3 Junior fundamentals sessions for beginners (7-14 years old)
  • Winter Softball from June – August
  • Masters Softball – Tasmania (Labour Day weekend in March), Shepparton (Kings Birthday weekend in June), Australian Masters Games (first week in October every second year), Pan Pacs (first week in November every second year)
