Safeguarding Children and Young People

Western Australian Ice Racing is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all children and young people involved in our sport. The wellbeing and safety of our athletes is a priority, and we have zero tolerance for behaviour that places children or young people at risk of harm.

We believe every participant deserves to feel respected, valued, and protected while taking part in training, competitions, events, and club activities. Our coaches, officials, volunteers, parents, and members all play an important role in creating a positive sporting environment where young people can develop, learn, and enjoy the sport safely.

Western Australian Ice Racing supports the safeguarding principles promoted by Sport Integrity Australia and is committed to maintaining child-safe practices, clear reporting processes, appropriate supervision, and respectful behaviour both on and off the ice.

We encourage all members of our community to be aware of their responsibilities in protecting children and young people and to speak up if they have concerns about a child's safety or wellbeing.
