Help the Club financially to pave the way for the next generation of rowers.

For the past 105 years, our Club and our committed past and present members, have ensured our current and future student rowers gain not only invaluable rowing experiences, but also make life-long friendships and connections all whilst pursuing their passion for the sport. 

Today, the Boat Club boasts over 250 members, from juniors to novices to Olympians. Through the Club, novice and junior rowers, many of whom have never seen an oar before, learn to pull a handle alongside elite athletes preparing for world championships. The mix of ages and backgrounds creates a richness of experience and a diverse network for UWA students to grow and prosper in.

There are several means of donation. A donation helps the Club to provide:

• Renewed club equipment, including single sculls, fours, and eights, required to compete at WA State, Intervarsity and National Championships.
• Dedicated coaching support, from novice to elite, for all current and future members.

• Access to a quality student rowing experience for every member; now and for the next generation.

Future Fund Campaign

To mark our 100th year in 2019, we launched the UWA Boat Club Future Fund Campaign, a fundraising campaign to ensure we continue to offer the same rich experience for generations to come. This campaign sought to create a fund for the club of over $1 million, invested by the University to provide an annual interest payment to the Club. This provides a significant income to the Club, facilitating the provision of better equipment and coaching for generations to come.

Leave UWABC in your will

If you wish to leave UWABC a portion of your estate upon your passing to provide a future for the next generation of rowers please contact the Club president for options and your wishes for how this is to occur.

Alternative donations or sponsorships

If you wish to donate to UWABC specifically for this year, or for one purchase (eg. stipulate in your donation that you want the club to purchase a junior eight only, or that the money must go to gym equipment etc.), please get in contact with our captain and our president at the below contact emails.
