Welcome to the Suncoast Eagles Inline Hockey Club registration page! Whether you are hitting the floor at the Caloundra Rollerdrome for the first time or returning for another epic season, please follow our three-step registration process below.

What is a Capitation Fee?

A capitation fee is the mandatory insurance fee charged per player by our governing bodies — Skate Queensland and Skate Australia — not a fee set by our club. It's what legally covers a player and allows them onto the floor for training or games. Club fees are separate and cover your training/rink costs with the Eagles.

💡 Quick Guidelines Before You Start:

Minimum Age: Trial and Participation / Rec players must be at least 4 years old to register (younger players may be considered at committee and coaches' discretion — please contact us) . Full Member – Competitive players must be at least 6 years old.

Pure Insurance Fees: Please note that the capitation fees listed below are purely for mandatory governing body insurance (Skate Qld / Skate Australia). They do not include weekly club/rink fees.

Club Fees: Club fees are separate from your capitation insurance fee and are only payable once per year — paying annually locks in a discounted rate compared to paying per session.

Governing Rule: It is a strict requirement from our governing bodies that any player stepping onto the floor must hold a current, active insurance membership.

STEP 1: Understand Your Insurance Category

Please read the options below carefully before clicking through to our portal to ensure you select the correct category for your player:

1. Three Week Trial (formerly Come & Try)

Cost: $0.00

Best for: Individuals wanting to trial inline hockey with our club before committing to a full season.

The Rules: This is a free, 3-week temporary membership option provided by Skate Queensland and Skate Australia, available to players from age 4 (younger players may be considered at committee and coaches' discretion — please contact us). The Three Week Trial is available to any individual who has not held a Skate Australia membership in the last two years.

⚠️ Tournament Eligibility: Three Week Trial members are not eligible to participate in our in-house Wings Out or any other in-house Eagles tournament event. If your trial period is still active when Wings Out is scheduled, you will need to upgrade to a full membership before the event to take the floor.

Seniors: The Three Week Trial covers our weekly senior training scrimmage. Our weekly senior training is in scrimmage format — not a competition or sanctioned game — so the Trial applies. Players from other Skate Australia affiliated clubs are welcome on the floor alongside our Eagles members, provided everyone holds a current SA membership of any tier.

⚠️ Choosing Your Dates: When registering for the trial, you'll select the 3 dates you want to attend. Insurance coverage only applies to those 3 specific dates — once they've passed, you are no longer insured. If you'd like to keep playing after your trial, you'll need to upgrade to Participation / Rec or Full Member – Competitive before stepping back on the floor, or you won't be covered.

2. Participation / Rec

Cost: $50.00 Capitation Fee (+ Club Membership Portion)

Best for: Our Learn 2 Fly kids — strictly for players in our beginner Learn 2 Fly pipeline, from age 4 (younger players may be considered at committee and coaches' discretion — please contact us).

The Rules: This insurance legally covers your skater for all internal club training drills, skill development, and team scrimmage nights within Learn 2 Fly. Note: This tier does not cover external club tournaments or state-level representation.

3. Full Member – Competitive

Cost: $120.00 Capitation Fee (+ Club Membership Portion)

Best for: Required for everyone playing in our regular groups — Harpy Eagles, Golden Eagles, Sea Eagles, and Bald Eagles, as well as our Wednesday Workshop crew. Players must be at least 6 years old.

The Rules: This provides complete, unrestricted insurance coverage. It is mandatory for any player aiming to enter tournament days, play at inter-club events, or play in state/national competitions.

STEP 2: Choose Your Membership Type in the Portal

When you log into the registration system below, you will be prompted to select one of two primary membership types. Ensure you choose the setup that matches your goals:

Option A: Full Membership — Select this type if you are registering for the full season. This includes both our Full Member - Competitive tier and our Participation / Rec tier for Learn 2 Fly.

Option B: Temporary Membership (Come and Try) — Select this type if you are using our free trial. This option will prompt you to select the 3 consecutive Mondays you plan to attend. Please note you only receive insurance coverage for those 3 specific dates; once they pass, you are officially uninsured on the floor and will need to log back into the portal to upgrade to a full membership.

STEP 3: Review Club Rules & Terms

By completing your registration, you (and parents/guardians for any members under the age of 18) are legally agreeing that you have read, understood, and will abide by the following conditions:

Suncoast Eagles Club Rules & Housekeeping Guidelines: [Click Here to Read Our Club Rules] (Note: We strictly operate as a 'no drop-and-go' club, maintain a zero-tolerance policy for unsportsmanlike behaviour, and enforce electronic, cash-free transactions.)

Skate Australia Membership Terms & Conditions: [Click Here to Read Skate Australia Conditions]

For explicit details regarding the exact insurance coverage breakdowns provided by your membership, please visit the official Marsh Insurance Brokers | Skate Australia Portal.

STEP 4: Complete Your Portal Registration & Payment

Ready to get rolling? Click the button below to access the registration network.

⚠️ Critical Portal Instructions:

RETURNING MEMBERS: Please select RENEW. Do not select register, as this will create duplicate records and disrupt your historical profile. Reminder: All memberships expire on 31 December each year.

NEW MEMBERS: If you have never registered with us or Skate Australia before, select REGISTER.

Payment Process:

Online Checkout: Immediately after filling out the online form, the system will prompt you to complete your governing body capitation payment. Please have your Debit/Credit card ready.

Club Invoice: Once your registration is processed, a separate invoice for your club training/rink dues will be generated and emailed to you. Please check your junk or spam folder if it does not arrive promptly.

Important Safety Rule: Complete payment must be finalised prior to entering the rink for any training sessions, workshops, or games.
