Housekeeping & Safety Guidelines

Suncoast Eagles Inline Hockey Club: Housekeeping & Safety Guidelines

These guidelines help us maintain a safe, organised, and respectful training environment for the entire Eagles family. Failure to abide by these rules may result in your membership being revoked and fees will not be refundable.

Equipment & Gear

  • Insurance Requirements:Every player on the floor must have current and the correct Skate Qld / Skate Australia Insurance. This is a mandatory requirement from our governing body.

  • Safety First: Full protective gear must be worn and correctly secured before stepping onto the floor.

  • Loaner Gear (Mondays): While we have loaner gear for new players on a Monday, we encourage everyone to purchase their own equipment after their first term due to limited stock, safety, and hygiene.

  • Wednesday Sessions: No loaner gear is available on Wednesdays. All players must provide their own equipment for these sessions.

  • Team Identity: On Mondays and Game Days, please wear your Eagles jersey. We are a unified team no matter where you are from. Loaners are available for new members on game days only.

Supervision & Conduct

  • Supervision: To ensure a safe environment, we operate as a 'no drop-and-go' club. A parent or guardian must remain on-site for the duration of the session.

  • Rink Etiquette: Non-participating children must remain supervised. Running, hitting pucks off-floor, yelling, throwing objects, and jumping from the grandstands are strictly prohibited.

  • Respect & Conduct: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for unsportsmanlike behaviour, bullying, or harassment toward coaches, referees, or fellow players. Violations will result in removal from the club and forfeiture of fees. This is at the executive committee's discretion.

  • Playing Up / Down: Any requests or decisions regarding players moving up or down an age division/group are strictly at the discretion of the executive committee and the coaching staff to ensure safety, fair play, and proper development.

Rink Safety & Access

  • Arrival & Entry: Doors open 30 minutes before each session. Early entry is strictly for committee members and coaches. Please do not step onto the rink until your coach advises you to do so.

  • Skating Limits: Skating is for designated training sessions only. Siblings, guests, and players who have finished their session are not permitted to skate in the rink, snack bar area, or car park.

  • Rink Safety: Please respect all yellow safety barriers and signage at all times. Be aware of the nets—stay clear of the goal area unless you are a designated player in a session, with a helmet on!

Club Housekeeping

  • Financials: All invoices must be paid within 14 days. To remain eligible for play, accounts must be kept up to date. Please note that we are a cash-free club; all payments must be made electronically.

  • Leave No Trace: Please keep our home rink clean. All players are responsible for disposing of their own tape scraps, water bottles, and rubbish before leaving.

By being a member of this club, participating in training, or playing at this club, you acknowledge and agree to abide by these rules and guidelines.
