As we head into this holiday period, it is a great opportunity for us to reflect on our 2025 successes and learnings. Congratulations again to our Division 1 Women, Under 16 Girls and Under 13 Boys on your Premierships.
All our players should be extremely proud of their achievements, with all competition teams (Juniors & Seniors) making Grand Finals. Additionally, we were well represented with individual accolades at the WHA award nights. Our Junior u7 & u10 Programs continue to set the standard within the WHA, and we look forward to improving on this in the coming years.
Off-field, we enjoyed numerous well-attended club events. We continue to work with all our members to ensure our events are accessible and welcoming to all. Support from the hill and fence line remains outstanding and is loved by our players.
Looking forward, the club plans to focus heavily on player, official and umpire development. We are seeking interest from anyone keen to take SCHC and Whyalla Hockey to the next level, whether through coaching, assisting with development plans, or administration (email:

In 2026, SCHC will be celebrating 50 Years of Hockey. Our celebration event will be held in August; however, the entire year will be an opportunity for us to reflect on what we have achieved and, more importantly, the friendships & connections we have made.
We look forward to seeing you all back in the Green & Blue in 2026. Don’t forget to keep recruiting.
