SPASC want to help build skills and confidence in sailing for people new to the sport.

Adult Learn To Sail -More Sailing Coaching Sessions are about getting you out on the water to practice, practice, practice under guidance from our accredited instructors and assistants.

Our aim is to builld your confidence so that you can progress next season to higher levels of sailing either at SPASC's friday twilights series during daylight savings or our Saturday or Sunday afternoons racing program.

You may have undertaken SPASC's Adult Learn to Sail course, or a similar course elsewhere. Or you may have sailed in your past and taken a break for awhile - you recall the basics but need to reaquaint yourself with the actions - and the fun!

These days wont be about racing - they will be about building skills in boat handling and technique. Practice, practice, practice.

What we offer;

A chance to use SPASC club boats (mainly ILCA4's) to sail on Lake Mac near our clubhouse. Or you can bring your own boat along!

Attendees will get personal care and instruction from members of SPASC's Australian Sailing accredited Discover Sailing Centre training team.

When is it offerred;

Most Sundays starting 18th October 2026 until 20th December 2026. Depending on demand this progam will also run Feb-Apr 2027.

Running 11am to 1pm on Sunday - everyone helps setup and/or wash down and packup the boats as required.

What is the cost?

1. Firstly you need to me a member of the club so you have personal injury cover through the Australian Sailing. We have half season membership classes to cover this option. This is $125 for seniors and $65 for juniors. But hey, you might already be a member..
