Discover Sailing Days are FREE and are offered at many Australian Sailing Discover Sailing Centers around Australia. They are a fantastic way to have a great day out on the banks of our beautiful Lake Macquarie, showing just how fun, safe, accessible, and affordable sailing is.

The local community or anyone else interested will have the option to go out for a short sail with an experienced sailor, have a look around the club facilities, and find out about the programs and sailing courses available. There will be something for the whole family and even kids as young as five years old can sail, when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

We plan to hold the following 3 sessions:

• Session 1 - 10:00am to 11.55am
• Session 2 - 12:00 Midday to 1.55pm
• Session 3 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm

NOTE: Entry is FREE - just click on "Register" to enter, then click on "Sign up" to create your Australian Sailing Number, which provides free Personal Accident cover, then click on "NEW MEMBER" at the bottom and provide your details, then follow the steps to complete your registration.

If you are registering your child, note parents and guardians must ensure all childeren under the age of 18 years are supervised at this function.

• Friendly club members will be there to welcome you and answer questions

Prerequisite: For safety reasons, participants must be confident in and around the water.

By the end of the day, you’ll have:

• Experienced sailing firsthand
• Discovered the fun and community spirit of your local club
• Learned about exciting courses, activities, and ways to keep sailing
