Program Leader Checklist
Silver Salties Program Leaders are an integral element of Silver Salties success at a club. Most Silver Salties clubs have more than one Silver Salties program leader so that jobs such as leading the programs, setting up equipment, entering participant information, and promoting the programs can be shared.

Program Leader Network
The Silver Salties Program Leader Network aims to connect program leaders so they can reach out to each other and discuss good practice around planning and delivering Silver Salties.
Most Silver Salties clubs have more than one Silver Salties program leader (see full list), however, only one program leader has been included in the table below as a point of contact to email.
Program leaders display enthusiasm, encourage participants, demonstrate cultural sensitivity, and promote positive group dynamics; communicate regularly with the club executive; provide regular updates to participants about session details; know program content, follow safety and risk management processes, and can reach out to other club members for guidance or support; and consider opportunities for unique experiences. Program Leader Case Studies
Colin Morley
Colin is the Silver Salties Program Leader at Woolgoolga SLSC, NSW. Colin is 80 years of age and has a rich surf lifesaving history and experience in natural therapies. Colin's Silver Salties group includes over 70 members of the community and they enjoy Walk & Talk, Chair Aerobics and Club Volunteering programs. Rozanne Green
Rozanne is the Silver Salties Program Leader at Bondi Surf Bathers' LSC, NSW. Rozanne was one of the first program leaders to get on board with Silver Salties and has delivered a very successful Walk & Talk program since mid-2020.
