A very good program for connecting with community and for people who are inactive.

I entered with a knee injury and felt very comfortable doing what I could. Excellent instructor. For years I participated in a (generally) seniors Functional Fitness in the church hall in Bargara and when it ended it was much missed. During lockdown and then a hurt knee I realise I lost much essential fitness for my optimal functioning. Kind regards

Have really enjoyed the walks & meeting new people would really like this to continue throughout the year. The leaders were very approachable & very professional.

Laura, Michelle, and Carolyn were fantastic team leaders who made everyone welcome, and they were a lot of fun. Even though our current term finished this week we are inspired to continue to meet during January and resume in February. Silver Salties Rock.

Parking a problem at Cronulla my only negative

Roz Green has been a standout leader- professional, conscientious, and inclusive. Silver Salties has been enjoyable every week and the thoughtful connection with, and support of, Wayside Chapel through our patronage of Heart Cafe has been a bonus. Thank you for the program!

The program provided a commitment to adhere to. Twice weekly sessions would achieve better results.

The Coordinator provided an excellent program and the group leaders each instructed exercises which suited people with differing physical abilities which could be attempted with ease and fun. Water aerobics exercises were great and enjoyed being   informed about rescue techniques and rips.
Ann-Marie, our leader was fantastic and inspirational. Thank you and can't wait till next year.

I think most people are just starting to achieve some of the moves and by running longer would have been a great advantage for most

I am a Surf Lifesaver and I found it valuable to participate with community members. I think a longer time frame and more days per week would be beneficial.

Not just the motivation needed to get out and keep up lifetime habits, but this programme was just immense fun. A wonderful programme a and I will participate if possible. I am 90 and love it.

Loved every moment of it and was very cross the 2 sessions I was unable to attend. After total knee replacement it was also good to find my limitations which has given me extra confidence in what I can do

These activities are beneficial to the participants by providing safe exercise and an opportunity for social interaction while improving health outcomes. The surf clubs involved could also benefit by connecting to a group in the community that may not normally participate in surf club activities. It could possibly encourage more involvement in the local surf club.

It was an excellent program conducted with passionate leaders in a beautiful environment. Beneficial to all who participated - we were fortunate to have this opportunity

A very professionally run group. Lots of encouragement given and adapted to individuals even though in a group. Friendly atmosphere but Jane managed the group in a way that showed she was in control but flexible.

I loved the program but unfortunately, we lost a couple of weeks of the exercising due to raging seas on one occasion and a Covid problem in our town for the other. Overall, I will truly miss going to the classes on Mondays and hope that we can have them continued.

A great programme with fantastic teachers, please have the pool exercises and chair exercises again

This was a wonderful thing for the older folk in Binningup.

I was unable to attend the final session due to a bad back, but thoroughly enjoyed the classes and the enthusiasm and friendly club instructors, thank you!

This was an excellent program and I wish to thank all those involved during a global pandemic.  You could see that the fitness levels over the 6-week program increased substantially, and I would highly recommend that the program continues.
 I and many others I discussed with would be happy to pay to continue as it was such a great way to exercise without injuring yourself and meeting likeminded people.  Once again thank you and hope to hear from you soon.

As a younger salty, I valued the opportunity to get to know Don, Geoff and Tony in an environment that was both challenging and enjoyable. Our after-swim coffee chats were a highlight! As a regular swimmer elsewhere, I prioritised swimming with the Salties to spend time with them. They are knowledgeable, experienced, and hilarious story tellers.

The program was really good for health, friendship, socialising, getting people motivated & interested in their wellbeing & meeting other like people. I would recommend it for as many seniors as possible. Jen was a great motivator & teacher.

Our tutor Jen, is brilliant; she’s a skilled teacher and a fabulous asset to the community.

Different levels of fitness in the group.  most were fit. some have health problems and were struggling.

Gabby is very professional. She prepares her program well, carefully considers the differing skill levels of participants and responds thoughtfully to their learning needs. I gained a lot of insight, knowledge, and emerging skills by participating in the program. Very keen to do more and further improve my abilities to learn new skills and keep up with emerging technologies wherever possible. Thank you for a great program.

As a beginner I found the level the sessions were pitched at was daunting on occasions.

I loved the new skills and the web sites we visited and thank Gabby for helping us all. I think I might have to repeat a few items as you need to use it or you lose it especially with computers, but we did have fun. We need to stay on top of this new technology so we continue to prosper, and the alternative will be to have it done for us and there are not enough Gabby and Jess's to go round

The programme has been very beneficial to our health and wellbeing. Enjoyed it very much.

This was a great initiative and I look forward to participating again when the program resumes late this year. Terrific leadership and always challenging.

Having missed a few sessions early on I had a bit of catch up to do with some aspects. Some topics did not have enough time to get a full understanding. Problems with connection to internet or differences in technical equipment being used caused delays in learning a new skill. Delivery was professionally planned to a high degree, but as time went on it was discovered that there needed to be different levels to meet the needs of individuals. There is now a coded system for the new and repeat programs to be conducted later. Gabby should be thanked for her effort and time in producing the Tech Savvy program. Even though with some aspects I did not always achieve the outcome I found that I learned many new aspects which I was unaware of with technology. Thank you.

We are all enjoying the beach activities so much that we are going back for another term. The weather has been kind to us and it's just lovely
doing our different exercises on the beach with Jess. She is doing a great job with us
senior citizens. Of course, we all enjoy the tea and bickies and conversation at the end.

Program was well organised and appropriate for the age group.

Jess is doing a fantastic job keeping us Salties fit and getting to know each other and running some very informative programmes.
It is such a fantastic programme!

Jane our instructor was super fantastic. Marian and Susan were great support and kept us going. Marian made a gorgeous marmalade cake for coffee on our last day. Hope Susan sends the recipe when she gets time. Wonderful experience and can’t wait to join the next program sooner than later. Now in the groove swimming every day at the Bullring. These programs are extremely effective, and I thoroughly recommend the continuation if financially possible. My fitness has improved, I've lost weight, I'm met some great people and the Silver Salties staff are fantastic.  Thank you very much.
