Learn Iaido (居合道) - the Way of Mental Presence and Immediate Reaction.
The concept of Iaido is to discipline the human character through the application of the principles of the katana (sword).
Iaido is a non-contact martial art based on the traditional Japanese swordsmanship techniques through a series of kata - patterns of movements. The art places emphasis on form, fluidity, and timing. Learning Iaido provides an opportunity for practitioners to immerse themselves in Japanese culture in a warm and friendly, supportive environment with Australian values.
Students are able to progress at their own pace, in a class with personal attention from the teacher, in a non-pressure manner.

- Koryu style is Muso shinden ryu ( no gradings within this style)
- Tamiya-ryu 1st Dan
- Tsutsumi Hozan-ryu Jujutsu 1st Kyu (instructor rating)
Seibukan (西 武 館) Dojo is affiliated with the West Australian Kendo Renmei, and subsequently the Australian Kendo Renmei (AKR), and International Kendo Federation (FIK).
