COMPETITIONS

RAC Meets

10-11 regular meets plus RAC Championships are held on Saturday mornings across the season (April – August).  Some meets may be held at Arafura Stadium, Marrara so our members get the opportunity to compete on the tartan track. Members are offered minimum 2 track events and 2 field events each week. At our Club Championships, athletes are awarded ribbons for all placings and medals are presented to the top 3 pointscorers for each age.

Interclubs

Like a bigger club meet, with athletes from the other Athletics NT clubs competing.  Interclubs are a great opportunity for our members, especially those in the 9 years+ age groups, to get experience against athletes from other clubs before competing in bigger competitions.

NT Track and Field Championships

The pinnacle of the NT track and field season, normally held in September, is a combined Athletics NT and School Sport NT event. Registered club athletes 9 years and above are eligible to complete. Individual performances at this event are considered when selecting NT teams for national events including the Australian All Schools Championships and the School Sport Australia nationals. The NT Championships are held at Arafura Stadium, Marrara.
